When travelers say they’re going to Orlando, the question is, “Which one?” There’s downtown Orlando, the Orange County seat of government, and a center for nightclubs, restaurants, concerts, and post-game celebrations. There is residential Orlando, which developed in the 1920s City Beautiful move to feature four-poster oaks and lakeside bungalows. And then there’s the Orlando that tourists know: the Orlando, home to seven of the world’s best theme parks and welcoming approximately 68 million travelers each year, making it one of the most popular vacation destinations popular in America.

WKMG is looking for an 11 p.m. newscaster who loves the latest news and knows how to produce a fast-paced late-night newscast.

The right candidate will have a proven track record of weaving interesting and engaging content that can hold the attention of the late night viewer.

Responsibilities:

* Produce creative daily newsletters in a fast-paced, graphics-rich environment.

*Produce unique, corporate and breaking news content for ClickOrlando.com

*Present actionable story ideas at daily editorial meetings.

*Responsible for content, use of video and graphics, and logistics coordination.

* Coordination of all production functions.

* Assist journalists in the development of the story.

*Discretion, maturity and composure, especially under pressure.

* Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

* Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

* Reporting to Executive Producer

Qualifications:

* Production experience in a contemporary and progressive broadcast news environment preferred.

* Must have demonstrated ability to manage people and other resources.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlines and changing priorities.

*Organize news-related information necessary for the decision-making process in a newscast operation, allocate and coordinate human and technical resources for news coverage.

* Identify and gather accurate information for news stories from various sources such as public safety scanners, phone calls, public agencies, corporations and other news media.

* Organize information for use by journalists, photographers, writers and producers.

* Maintain strong people and communication skills in a competitive and pressured environment and work under intense deadline pressure.

Qualifications:

* Degree in communications or journalism from a four-year university preferred.

We are looking for a web editor with strong writing and editing skills who can work independently, if needed.

The right candidate for this position is inherently curious, eager to research, write and edit content, including in-depth reports. Data and computer graphics skills are an added advantage.

Qualified candidates will have 2-3 years of newsroom experience.

* Research, write and publish stories for digital platforms, including mobile and social channels.

* Exceptional AP writing skills rooted in journalistic excellence.

* Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the company.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, Convergence or other related field preferred.

*2-3 years of experience in a digital media newsroom.

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

*Strong information ethics, judgment and professionalism.

* Ability to expertly use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and the entire Office suite.

* Ability to expertly edit with Adobe Premier

* Ability to use data platforms such as Infogram, Tableau and others

*Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlines and changing priorities.

* Proficiency in image editing skills essential.

* Scheduling flexibility, especially for breaking news.
