Executive News Producer of Action 2 News (mornings)

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – WBAY-TV is a historic station seeking a Positive Newsroom Chief to become our next AM Executive Producer. This individual will have strong leadership skills and will help our talented and professional morning news team continue to make an impact as our first alert station. We need an executive producer who will keep the momentum going with innovation and enthusiasm.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Guide producers, anchors, and live crew to get the best content, presentation, and live shots on the market.
  • Coach and develop team members in the skill sets needed to be successful.
  • Create innovative storytelling techniques and presentations. – Win weather and news events.
  • Create and present accurate, fair and unbiased news content.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and national issues.
  • Assistance in hiring employees.
  • Assist the leadership team in planning future projects, elections and other special events.
  • Keep striving to hit our mark as the first alert station

The qualified candidate will have 2-5 years of television news experience, a degree in journalism or communications or equivalent experience, and a track record of success as a newsroom manager.
