Morning News Anchor, Weekend Assignments Writer and News Producer

WGHP, Fox8, Nexstar’s Fox affiliate serving the Greensboro/High-Point/Winston-Salem North Carolina markets, is seeking a Morning News Anchor, Weekend Assignments Writer and News Producer.
According to US News and World Report, Greensboro is part of the Piedmont Triad (which also includes Winston-Salem and High Point) and is nicknamed the “Gate City” for good reason: it’s a short jaunt to and from major North Carolina cities. Locals can spend a day in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the west or head east for a weekend at the beach. There is no shortage of arts, entertainment, recreation, shopping and dining to keep locals busy. Greensboro is home to a large hospital, public parks and gardens. A range of neighborhoods offer a diverse range of homes to suit different tastes, and a strong sense of community makes North Carolina’s third-largest metropolitan area feel like a small town where residents are neighbors.
Work for the #1 morning show in the market, collaborate with award-winning journalists and make a difference in the community, come join the FOX8 morning news team.
You’ll co-host the 4:30 a.m. news, then rotate with three other presenters for our 5.5-hour newscast.
We really want to earn mornings, employing an army of reporters to make the shows relevant and meaningful.
Although you will play a prominent role on the desk, do not give up your journalist skills because you will also have a franchise.
