Job Summary/Description:

WNDU is looking for a talented News Producer to join our award-winning team. This position works closely with the Executive Producer and News Director in addition to having direct communication with the Technical Media Producers, Assignment Manager, Reporters and other news staff. In this role, you will be responsible for the content and flow of newsletters and web content, as well as the overall quality of our information product. You will lead the charge in developing our newsletters to meet a high standard.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

• Excellent conversational writing skills • Strong editorial and communication skills • Work well to deadlines • Adapt to breaking news and story development • Coordinate script writing and editing with excellent use of video and graphics to enhance storytelling • Communicate with anchors, field crews, reporters and control room staff • Write content for station website and social media


Educational Requirements – College Diploma in Journalism

Previous work experience – Producing experience while earning a college degree or producing experience at a TV station

Other Requirements – Pre-employment drug screening and motor vehicle record check are required.
